Hongan Ji Kokufu Branch Temple
Honganji Kokufu Betsuin was built in 1805 at the site of Takegahana Souan, where St Shinran lived with Eshinni and their children until they were allowed to return to Kanto. The inner sanctuary has extremely narrow courtyard space, and features the rare style where the main shrine palace and Shinran shirine's pagoda rest on the same raised platform seen from the front. We welcome your visit from the bottom of our heart.
