Joetsu is dyed in color of cherry blossoms in spring. About 4,000 cherry blossom trees fully bloom in Takada Castle Ruins Park including surrounded area.
Inside the venue, there are product exhibitions and street stalls selling local gourmet foods. Please enjoy this event by both seeing and eating.

The fantastic night cherry blossoms illuminated by lanterns are counted as one of "Japan's top three night cherry blossoms". The Cherry Blossom Festival in Takada, Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, is a cherry blossom viewing spot where you can enjoy both day and night.
Takada Castle Site Park Cherry Blossom Festival
It is said to be the predecessor of the Takada Castle Ruins Park Cherry Blossom Festival, in which a group of local soldiers planted 2,200 cherry trees at the castle ruins to celebrate the entry of the former Army's 13th Division into the castle in 1909.
The night cherry blossoms of Takada Castle Ruins Park is counted as one of "Japan's top three night cherry blossoms".
