Joetsu City along with city volunteers work together to revitalise Takada by using the "gangi" eaved walkways and long narrow townhouses called "machiya" that remain in this castle town. Organized to coincide with other events in the Takada Honcho shopping district, such as "Flower Road," "Sake Festival," and "Lerch Festival." Please stop by and enjoy a guided tour of the "gangi" eaved walkways and old "machiya" houses typical of this area.
