Joetsu City Kiyosato Planetarium

Joetsu City Kiyosato Planetarium, which stands on the shores of Bogaike Lake, is an astronomical observation facility equipped with a planetarium that allows you to experience a 65 cm reflective telescope, the largest of its kind in the prefecture, seasonal constellations and astronomical simulations. The "Kushiike Meteorite" which fell to earth in Kiyosato Ward in 1920 is also on display. Moreover, in order to familiarize people with the stars we offer a parent-child starry sky classroom and astrophotography workshops as well as observation sessions mainly on weekends.
